Everett N. Junkins, 78, of Burlington, died at his home on March 7, 2013. He was born in Buffalo, Mo., to the late Pearl (Haney) Junkins and Charlie Junkins on Aug. 16, 1934. He married Darlene Bero on June 12, 1999.
He enjoyed raising and showing Chinese Cresteds and Cocker Spaniels. He raised a male cocker and the cocker sired the world’s champion. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter and loved to ride his horses.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Pam Junkins, Barbara (Logan) Kaplon and Annette (Chris) Bauman; stepsons, Kevin Rider and Joseph Rider; granddaughters, Nicole (Chad) Frederickson and Samantha Bauman; grandson, Blaine Patino; great-granddaughter, Grace Frederickson; niece, Helen (Bob) Lawson.
He was further preceded in death by his siblings, Dottie, Dolly, Marie, Cloe, Roy, Sam and Arnold.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
