Frank Harvey Voss, 92, Burlington, died July 22, 2013, at Memorial Hospital of Burlington. He was born Oct. 26, 1920, in Randall Township to the late Paul and Clara (Elfers) Voss. He spent his early life in Randall Township, and Richmond, Ill. He graduated from Wilmot High School, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard from December 1941 to March 1946.
On March 29, 1949, married the love of his life Betty Joyce Bradford, in Hebron, Ill. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington, where they had been residents for the past 65 years.
He was employed by American Motors, owned and operated a Mobil gas station in Burlington, and did maintenance at Memorial Hospital of Burlington.
He was a member of Burlington United Methodist Church. He enjoyed snow skiing, golfing, motorcycles, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife; children, Susan (Thomas) Stang, Greenfield, Linda (Glen) Jones, Summerville, S.C., Jeff (Linda) Voss, Burlington; grandchildren, Leslie Jones, Andrea Jones, Jake Voss, Logan Stang, Casey Voss; a brother, Darwin (Ann) Voss, Delavan; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by brothers, Lloyd and Clinton; and sisters, Alta Marzahl, Virgene Swantz, and Avis Fowler.
Visitation is Sunday, July 28, from 3 p.m., until time of memorial service at 6 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. The Rev. Lawrence Williams will officiate. Inurnment with full military honors is Monday July 29, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
