GERALD A. FIEBELKORN


Gerald A. Fiebelkorn, 73, Elkhorn, died Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born Nov. 30, 1939, in Sheboygan, to the late Ralph and Evelyn (Reilly) Fiebelkorn. He spent his early life in Bay View and Waterford and was a graduate of Waterford High School.

He proudly served three years in the U.S. Army, stationed mostly in Germany.

He married Arlyce Ann Geske on Sept. 12, 1964, at St. Joseph’s Church in Big Bend. Following marriage they resided in Waterford before making their home in Burlington for 30 years. He and Arlyce had been residents of Elkhorn for the past 8 years.

He worked for AC Supply in Milwaukee for 32 years. He enjoyed volunteering at Love Inc. and delivering flowers. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, vacationing, traveling, gambling, and dabbling in photography.

Survivors include his loving wife; children, Candee (Jeff) Klein, Tracy (Keith) Zwiebel; grandchildren, Samantha Reesman, Josephine Klein, Morgan Klein, Hailey Zwiebel, Mackenzie Zwiebel; siblings, Mary (Harvey) Sadler, Betty (Ward) Mehring, Barb (Cecil) Mehring, Jeanne (Larry) Klepp, Pat (Tom) Victor, Mike (Mary) Fiebelkorn, Marge (Dan) Lewis, Joanne Winkler; nieces; nephews;other relatives and friends.

He was further preceded in death by his in-laws, Norman and Mae Geske; and granddaughter, Harley Klein.

Visitation is Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 4-6:15 p.m., at Schuette Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Funeral services follow at 7 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Burlington. The Rev. James Volkert will officiate. Private family burial will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.

Memorials to Children’s Hospital are suggested.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lakeland Hospital ICU and the staff at St. Luke’s Medical Center MRICU for all their care and compassion.
