Gladys A. Heiser, 88, Waterford, formerly of Milwaukee, died March 2, 2013. She was born in Kentucky, to the late Asa and Marjorie Beckner. She married Kenneth Edward Heiser Sr. He preceded her in death in 1976.
She was a nurse’s aide and homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends, watching Packers and Brewers games and making potato salad and chocolate chip cookies.
Survivors include her grandson, Kenneth Edward Heiser III of Waterford; granddaughters, Kristin (Joe) Allen, Rock Island, Ill., and Dana Perry, Santa Maria, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Joe Allen and Kampbell Allen, Rock Island; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her sons, Kenneth Jr. and Richard; daughter, Diane Perry; brothers, James, William and Sherman Beckner; sisters, Frances Behnke, Veachie Pyle, Edna Pyle, Mabel Neuendorf, Marian Kimberling and Lois Hepner.
Visitation is Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 145 S. 6th St., Waterford. Burial will be held Monday, March 11, at 9 a.m., in Good Hope Cemetery, 4104 S. 43rd St., Greenfield. Meet at the cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, memorials to the family would be appreciated. Mealy Funeral Home, Inc. Waterford, is serving the family.
I will miss this sweet Lady who sat across the isle from me at St. Peter’s and her friendy warm smile.
