Isabel Shaffer Hamann, 87, formerly of Waterford, died Jan. 15, 2012, in Bridgeton, Mo. She was the daughter of the late Laura (Hess) and Hugh N. Connell.
She owned and operated Barby’s Beauty Shop on Main Street in Waterford for more than 15 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
She married Elmer Hamann in 1972 and lived happily in Cedarburg until retiring to Valrico, Fla., in 1989. He preceded her in death.
She enjoyed swimming, canoeing, boating, fishing, traveling, and dominos with her family and friends. She enjoyed Bible study, Mass and was blessed by the sacrament of last rights.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Shaffer Klink and Ralph Klink, St. Louis, Mo.; Elmer’s sons, Mark Hamann, and Gerald (Kathy) Hamann; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was further preceded in death by her siblings, Norman Connell, Geraldine Lund and Mary Moss.
A memorial service was held at Holy Angels II in Bridgeton, Mo., and inurnment was at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee. O’Sullivan-Muckle Mortuary in Chesterfield, Mo., served the family.
