Jason Jeffery Best, 40, Waterford, died July 2, 2013, at his home. He was born Nov. 25, 1972, to Dennis and Patricia Best in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a graduate of Case High School in Racine, and lived in Waterford for the past 13 years.
He was a member of the Renault Club of America, loved the outdoors, boating, and had a special place in his heart for his two dogs Dodger and Grunt.
Survivors include his mother, Waterford; his father, Kenosha; stepfather, Dick Wanke, Waterford; sister, Stephanie (Travis) Matsdorf, Ashland, Ore.; niece, Sahalie; nephew, Isaac; aunts; uncles; and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sarah and Harold Pautzke.
A memorial gathering is Wednesday, July 10, from 10 a.m., until time of services at noon at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St., Waterford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Countryside Humane Society are suggested.
