Margaret C. Luebbers, 93, of Sun City West, Ariz., died April 23, 2013. She was born Sept. 26, 1919, to the late Leo and Hazel (Blythe) Cowley.
She spent her early life in Racine and graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater with a degree in education. She spent many years as a teacher.
She married Warren A. Luebbers; he preceded her in death on May 1 1985.
She was a member of the Eastern Star Literacy Program. She enjoyed quilting, bowling, golfing walking, traveling and was a volunteer at the Sun City West Library.
Survivors include her children, Richard (Jayne), Russel (Dottie), and David (Jackie); grandchildren, Jennifer (Salvatore) Messina Rick Luebbers, Tammy (Steve) Zyduck, Dawn (Scott) Gaedtke, Katie (Jason) Dequaine, Jodi (Matt) Kittell; great-grandchildren Sarah Messina, Missy, Ben and Jeremy Zyduck, Justin, Jon, Alexys, and Alisa Gaedtke, Megan and Eli Dequaine, Mason and Cameron Kittell; sister, Joy (Alex) Bolyanatz of Sun City, Ariz., and Jan Van Winkle of Thorp.
She was further preceded in death by her grandson, John, and sister, Betty Guarino.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday May 8, at Schuette Daniels Funeral Home, 625 S. Browns Lake Drive. Inurnment will follow in Burlington Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
