Margaret (Henning) Ebbers, 84, Burlington died April 3, 2013, at Burr Oak Manor after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born Feb. 14, 1929, to the late Lawrence Henning and Elizabeth (Ketchpaw). She grew up in Lyons and attended Burlington High School.
On Jan. 21, 1950, she married Fredrick B. Ebbers at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Burlington. They made their home in Burlington. He preceded her in death.
She worked at Reinardy’s Drug Store, Honey Bear and the Playboy Club in Lake Geneva. She enjoyed playing cards, socializing with friends and traveling, especially to Las Vegas.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Bob) Gilliland, Millersville Md., Michael (Ann), Albuquerque, N.M., Tom (Rhonda) Verona, Wis., and Mark (Molly), Burlington; grandchildren. Rick (Chrissy) Gilliland, Kim (Matt) Letnaunchyn, Mary Hindera, Sarah, Charlie, Hannah, Alex, Marcus, Eric, and Mackenzie Ebbers; great-grandchildren, Connor Letnauchyn and Danny Gilliland; brother, James (Lynn) Henning; sisters-in-law, Joan Ebbers, Helen Henning, both Burlington, Carol Wermeling, New Munster, Joanne Ebbers, North Point Fla., Joanne Ebbers Burlington; nieces; nephews; cousins and relatives.
She was further preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence, Richard and Ronald Henning; brothers- in-law, James and William Ebbers, William Wermeling, and James (Dorothy) Slein.
Visitation is Monday, April 8, from noon until time of services at 2 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. The Rev. James Volkert will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
