Marianne J. Petersen, 82, Burlington, died Sept. 6, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Florence. She was born on Dec. 8, 1930, in Kenosha, to the late Alphonse and Crescenthia (Esser) Jantzen.
She grew up in Kenosha. Following high school she graduated from Milwaukee College of Cosmetology. She was a beautician and ran her business out of her home in Burlington. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cross country skiing and roller-skating.
Survivors include her children, Gregg (Susan) Petersen, Gay (Dan) Kaempfer, and Guy Petersen; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her sister, Jane Hardin.
She was further preceded in death by a brother.
Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers memorials in Marianne’s name may be made to Golden Living Center, 5778 Chapin St, Florence, WI 54121. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, served the family.
