Mildred A. Ketterhagen, 92, Burlington, died peacefully at her home on July 2, 2013. She was born in Unity, to the late George A. and Alma S. Binning. The family moved to Waterford where she graduated high school.
On Aug. 3, 1939, she married Robert W. “Bob” Ketterhagen at St. Thomas Catholic Church. She was a resident of Waterford until 2001 when she moved to Burlington. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a former member of the choir and the ladies guild. In her spare time she enjoyed oil painting and she loved to read.
Survivors include her children, Carol (Kay) Streiff, Surprise, Ariz., Betty Ketterhagen, Burlington, Karen (Phil) Warnes, Dousman, Diane Ketterhagen, Burlington, Robert (Linda Higby) Ketterhagen, Rochester; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her husband; twin infant sons, Peter and Paul; brothers, Glen, Marvin and Floyd Binning.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 5, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Waterford. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, served the family.
