Patricia A. Itzin, 85, Burlington, died Aug. 13, 2013, at Aurora Hospital in Burlington.
She was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Burlington, to the late Raymond J. and Florence S. (Reuter) Pihringer. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School before attending the College of St. Teresa in Winona, Minn.
On Aug. 23, 1958, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington, she married Charles F. Itzin. They were co-owners of Itzin’s Shoes. He preceded her in death July 25, 1984.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, enjoyed bird watching, playing bridge, fishing up north, gardening, traveling, decoupage and other crafts. She was a Girl Scout leader and loved listening to music, especially classical and the crooners, like Frank Sinatra. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Timothy (Jackie) Itzin, Robert Itzin and Mary (John) Itzin-Egle; grandchildren, Rachael (Jeremy) Wiedeman, Christina (Joe) Wolfe; Kayla Egle, Lauren Itzin, Craig Egle, Ethan Itzin: great-grandchildren, Oliver Wiedeman, Henry Wiedeman; her sister, Jane Mueller; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Pihringer; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her brother, Charles Pihringer and brother-in-law, Rob Mueller.
Visitation is Saturday, Aug. 17, at Good Shepherd Chapel from 10 a.m., until time of services at noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 108 McHenry St., Burlington. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
