RAYMOND J. DOLAN

Raymond J. Dolan, 86, died peacefully at his home May 2, 2013. He was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Dodgeville, to the late William and Agnes (Schmitz) Dolan.

He graduated from Lone Rock High School in 1944, and then served for two years in the U.S. Army.

In 1956 he married Marion Rose Schmid in Chicago. He worked in the dairy industry all his life, retiring from Dean Foods in 1992. He loved the outdoors, was an avid gardener and enjoyed evening walks with his wife.  He was a member of Saint Benedict’s Church in Fontana, and enjoyed watching the Brewers and the Packers along with his grandchildren’s sports activities.

Survivors include his wife, Walworth; children,  Patrick (Susan) Dolan, The Colony, Texas, Kathryn (Rodney) Spangler, Walworth, Michael (Penni) Dolan, Delavan, Lora (Emmanuel) Schmid-Dolan, Madison, Mary Dolan, Madison; grandchildren, Jason (Nissi), Melissa (Benjamin), Jesse, Timothy, Rebekah, Aaron, Courtney, Matthew (Jordan), Jennifer (David), Kayla, Danielle, Raphael, Stephen, Zachary, Sabine; great-grandchildren,  Abigail, Evangeline, Camille, Natalie, Wyatt, Emersyn; brother, Harold Dolan; nieces and nephews.

He was further preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Visitation is Friday, May 10, from 4-7 p.m., at Toynton Funeral Homes, Walworth. A Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m., at Saint Benedict Church, 137 Dewey Ave., Fontana. Toynton Funeral Home, Walworth, is serving the family.

Raymond’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and aids of Mercy Hospitals, Holton Manor of Elkhorn, UW Hospital Rehabilitation Clinic, Aurora Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice Care and Home Helpers for all their care over the past six months.
