THEODORE GOETZ

Theodore  “Ted”  Goetz, 52, Union Grove, died unexpectedly Feb. 7, 2013, at his residence. He was born on July 5, 1960, to Walter and Joanne (Zachar) Goetz in Racine. His early life was spent in the Kansasville area. He graduated from Burlington High School and then attended UW–Oshkosh where he played football and majored in business administration. On Jan. 11, 1997, he married Heather Norton in Union Grove. Following marriage they resided in Union Grove where he was employed by Racine Grain Company. He was a member of St. Mary’s Dover, volunteered on the Kansasville Fire Department and served as the treasurer for the Knights of Columbus, Council 4106.  He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching his children participate in their sporting events.
Survivors include his wife; children, Jennifer Lambert, Hannah Beachem, Christopher Goetz and Caleb Beachem; his parents; his siblings, Raymond Goetz and Mary (Thomas) Vlasin; his in-laws, Juanita Norton and Jerry Norton; brother-in- law, Tony (Michelle) Norton; sister-in-law, Lisa (Bryan) Ray; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Dover. The Rev. Robert Kacalo will officiate.  Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, Burlington, is serving the family.
