Timothy L. Iverson 51, Burlington, died April 6, 2013, after a short battle with cancer, at Aurora Burlington Hospital. He was born March 12, 1962, to Dan and Jean (Peterson) Iverson in Kenosha. His early life was spent in the Union Grove and Wheatland area. He graduated from Salem Central High School.
On May 10, 1997, he married Nancy Jayne Schuerman in New Munster. Following marriage they resided in Burlington. He worked for Twin Disc and previously was employed by Case and Chrysler. He loved spending time with his family, camping, hunting, fishing, and rebuilding old farm equipment to a workable condition, to use in his woods.
Survivors include his wife; children, Kaitlin (David) Shellberg, Michael Iverson, Brian Iverson; his father, Dan (Pat) Iverson; siblings, Debbie (Larry) Richter, Teresa (Art) Joerndt, Scott (Ann) Iverson, Dan (Renee) Iverson, Todd (Lori) Iverson and Heidi (Jim) Steger; mother- and father-in-law, Dean and Jayne Luke; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jerry (Mary) Schuerman, Don (Shelley) Schuerman, Paul (Mona) Schuerman, Deanna Luke, Karen (Paul) Berenson; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.
Visitation is Wednesday, April 10, from 4-8 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 11, at 11 a.m., at. St Alphonsus Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Dineen will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Tim’s family has suggested that memorials be made to the VNA Hospice.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 12th floor nurses at St. Luke’s, the VNA Hospice, Anna Kaufmann, Cat and Jodi for their care and keeping Tim comfortable.
