Deanna Mae (Nicoson) Buchholtz, of East Troy died Dec. 6, 2014 peacefully at home. She was born in 1941 to Lloyd (Nick) and Lauretta Nicoson in Burlington.
She spent her youth in Burlington and East Troy. In 1958, she married Donald Buchholtz of Union Grove. They resided in Lake Villa, Ill., for a short time and then returned to East Troy.
They spent 35 years there before retiring to St. Germaine, Wis. She was active in Boy Scout Troup 92. She was their East Troup Den Leader Coach.
She was president of the P.T.O. of Stewart School known for their “Cherry Tree.” She was a member of GFWC Woman’s Club of East Troy and a member of St. James United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Red Bird Circle.
Survivors include her son, Donald, Rockford, Ill.; daughters, Doriann (Scott) Brzinski, Waukesha, and Dawn (Rick) Benjamin, East Troy; grandchildren, Joshua and Amanda Brzinski, Danielle, Rachel, Rebecca, and Hannah Buchholtz, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at St. James United Methodist Church, 2945 Main St., East Troy. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at the church.
