Linda Marie Helton, of Crocker, Mo., died Oct. 2, 2014, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. She was born on Sept. 4, 1949, in Burlington, to the late Clifford and Doris (Oldenberg) Knutson.
She married Richard Dale Helton on Oct. 26, 1982, and they had five children.
She was owner and operator of Crocker Academy Day Care in Crocker. She was a member of the Crocker Chamber of Commerce, the Ozark Youth Sports League and the Crocker Booster Club. She enjoyed baking and reading, but above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Joshua, Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., Richie, Crocker, and Jacob, Lake of the Ozarks; daughters, Kari, Ashland, Keli (Michael) Allen, Crocker; brothers, Martin (Wanda) Knutson, Louisville, Ky.; Tom (Cindy) Knutson, Rochester, and Mike Knutson, Germantown; sisters, Colleen (Robert) Holder, Rochester, Chris (Dan) Rathbone, Twin Lakes, and Peggy (Steve) Thorp, Hales Corners; grandchildren, Zoie Allen, Gabby Kingsley, Blake Helton and Kairi Helton; along with many relatives and dear friends.
She was further preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Mayes.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the Crocker Christian Church, 16200 Highway 17. Larry Richardson and Randy Hoffmann will officiate.
