Mark S. Oaks, 60, Burlington, died unexpectedly on Feb. 21, 2014, at his home. He was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 3, 1954, to James W. and Phyllis (Springer) Oaks.
He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman. He worked for the school at Southern Wisconsin Center as a custodian.
Survivors include his mother, Phyllis Tenhagen; brothers, Gary (Cheryl) Oaks, Steven (Luann) Oaks; and his four legged pal, Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Burial services for Mark are Friday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m., at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is serving the family.
