Rena V. Bromund, 92, Burlington, died peacefully in her sleep at Burlington Rehabilitation Center on Aug. 5, 2014.
She was born in Benld, Ill., to the late Catherine and Battista Sasso.
She graduated high school near Benld. She moved to Chicago and it is there that she married Carl Bromund who preceded her in death.
She was a housewife and homemaker most of her life and after Carl’s passing she relocated to the Burlington area in 1962.
She is survived by her stepson, Homer Bromund; nieces, Kay Schoenherr and Sue Sirotti; her special friend and neighbor, Debi Coates, Burlington; other relatives and friends
Private family committal services will take place at Benld Cemetery in Illinois. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.
