Ronald J. Datzer, 75, Burlington, died Oct. 29, 2015, at his residence. He was born Nov. 29, 1939, to the late John and Helen (Galli) Datzer in West Allis. He graduated from high school and attended the Agricultural School in Rochester.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He had resided in the Burlington area since the 60s and was previously employed at Sentry, in the produce department. When he was younger, he enjoyed woodworking. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the Packers and the Brewers. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his children, Chris (Kelly) Datzer and Laura (David) Wawrzyniakowski; grandchildren, Zachary, Alyssa and Taylor Wawrzyniakowski, Amy Chelgren and Scottie Peterson; great-grandchildren, Finn and Henry Peterson, Ava, Evelyn and Aiden; siblings, Kathleen Tijerina, Janet (Tom) Heistad, Ken Datzer; other relatives and friends.
The family has suggested memorials be made to a veteran’s charity of your choice.
Ron’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Elizabeth Rochon for her companionship.
Funeral services are Monday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, with the Rev. Rob Bolling officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday from 5-6 p.m., at the funeral home.
