James J. “Jim” Anderson, 66, Yorkville, died Feb. 27, 2016, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints in Racine. He was born April 7, 1949, in Yorkville, to the late Raymond and Leona (Rosinski) Anderson. He was a lifelong resident of Yorkville and graduated from Union Grove High School.
On April 25, 1981, he married Catherine ‘Cathy’ Box. He worked as a self-employed milk hauler and later worked for Racine Grain for 10 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Union Grove.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and playing with his puppies. He was a very loving and supportive father and husband.
Survivors include his wife; children, Becky Oesau, Kevin Smailes and Matthew (Maggie) Anderson; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; siblings, Bob (Judy) Anderson, Dick (Chris) Anderson and Patty (Bruce) Nowak.
He was further preceded in death by many aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank all the people who helped take care of Jim through this time.
There will be a chapel service at West Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 2, at 11 a.m. Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Union Grove, is serving the family.
