Karen K. Braund, 64, of Rochester, passed away March 9, 2019, at Zilber Hospice Family House after fighting a three-year battle with bile duct cancer.
Karen was born in Burlington to Lowell and Lillian Braund of Franksville. She retired after working for 35 years with the State of Wisconsin.
She enjoyed crafting, cooking, and enjoyed her yard. She will be remembered for her dozens of Christmas cookies delivered to family, friends, and neighbors, as well as being a caring friend to everyone she met.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Alysa Robbins and Kimberlee (Robin) Duran; grandson Travis Duran; sisters Kathleen Steliga and Sherry Pilot; brother Ronald Braund and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell, and her goddaughter and niece, Jodi Pilot.
A celebration of Karen’s life will take place on Sunday March 17, 2019, at Integrity Celebration Center 2789 S. Browns Lake Drive in Burlington at the corner of Hwy 36 and County Hwy W. Visitation will be from 2 to 3:50 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 4 p.m. with Rev. Larry Williams officiating.
