Lee Steven Schiemann, 54, of Burlington, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 2, 2019, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Lee was born in Chicago on March 5, 1965, to LeRoy and Clara (nee Strand) Schiemann. He spent his early life in Melrose Park and Crystal Lake, Ill. before moving to Burlington in 1973, where he attended Burlington High School.
On May 23, 1997, in Las Vegas, he was united in marriage to Sharon Kuhnke. Following marriage, they made their home in Burlington. Lee worked in mold setup for Custom Service Plastics, his parents’ company. He also worked in maintenance for Mount Carmel. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a proud 22-year volunteer for the Lyons Fire Department and City of Burlington Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time outdoors. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him so much joy.
Lee is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Erica and Adam Schiemann, Chelsae (Hubert) Hoffman and Ricky (Crystal) Kuhnke; nine grandchildren, Neysa, AJ, Taylor, Brittany, Allyson, Tony, Piper, Devyn and Ricky III; six great-grandchildren, Carter, Bretlynn, Eros, Faye, Luna and Gemma; sister, Cathy (Richard) LaBadie; one sister-in-law and four brother-in-laws. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Paul, brothers-in-law Stan and Dave and sister-in-law June.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Luke’s Medical Center, especially Dr. Merchant and nurses, Mike and Tiara.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
Services for Lee will be held Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burlington. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, and again on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at the church from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at Burlington Cemetery.
