Timothy M. “Rooster” Rothering, 66, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
Tim was born in Burlington on Sept. 24, 1953 to John and Phyllis (nee Vos) Rothering. He was a lifelong resident of Burlington and graduated from Catholic Central High School. He worked as a production manager for LDV. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and reading. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
Tim is survived by his children, Mark (Melissa) Rothering, Nick (Anna) Rothering, Dave (Gina) Rothering and Nathan Lange; grandchildren, Alexa, Logan, Alora and Helena; siblings, Steve (Kathy) Rothering, Barb (Tim) Poser, Tyger (Mary Ann) Rothering, Ann (Neal) Richter and Chris (Pam) Rothering; longtime companion, Ann Marie Gardner and her son, Josh Gardner; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Froedtert Hospital, and all their friends for supporting them during this difficult time.
A memorial service for Tim will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 7 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 6:30 p.m. A private burial of his ashes will take place at a later date.
