David L. Brown, 76, of Twin Lakes, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.
Dave was born Aug. 22, 1945, to Henry and Doris (nee Berlament) in Burlington. His early life was spent in Burlington where he graduated from high school. On Oct. 9, 1976, he was united in marriage to Joanne B. Muller at Plymouth Congregational UCC in Burlington. Following their marriage, they resided in Burlington, moving to Twin Lakes in 1977. He was employed by Nestles for many years, working as a supervisor.
David proudly served his country in the Air Force from 1964 through 1968 and was stationed in Germany, France and Italy. He was the union president at Local 1493. He was an avid reader and would finish 15 to 20 books within a weeks’ time. He also loved spending time on the computer. His wife, Joanne, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to him, and he adored spending time with them.
David is survived by his loving wife Joanne; children, Scott (Tammy) Elblein, Connie (Edward) Cook, Todd (Kristine) Brown, Cheryl (Kevin) Hugar and Mike (Michelle) Brown; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother James R. Brown; sister Debbie Fiegel; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Aurora Burlington Hospital for all their care and compassion recently and over the years.
Funeral services for David will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
