Dennis W. Fitzpatrick, 67, of Burlington, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.
Dennis was born in Jacksonville, Fla. on Dec. 2, 1953, to William and Leola (nee Willey) Fitzpatrick Sr. He graduated from Burlington High School and went to meat cutting school in Fennimore. On April 5, 1997 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington, he was united in marriage to Karen Fields. He has been a resident of Burlington since 1967.
Dennis worked as a meat cutter, truck driver and binding operator for Quad Graphics. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting, fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed a beverage at the end of each day, especially Milwaukee’s Best Light (his calling card) or Kesslers whiskey.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Karen; two fur babies, J.C. and Fred; siblings, Murial (Brian) Strickler of Burlington, Karen Fischbach of Mauston, Susan Winters of Burlington, Robin (Pat) Cardi of Prospect Heights, Ill., William (Vicki) Fitzpatrick II of Brookfield, and Brenda (Paul) Neira of Mukwonago; mother-in-law, Joyce Fields; brothers-in-law, Mark (Kathy) Fields and Mike (Carol) Fields; grandson, Gage Fitzpatrick; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Leola; sons, Jason (Greendeer) Fitzpatrick and Eric S. Fitzpatrick; father-in-law, Ronald Fields; brother-in-law, James Fischbach Sr.; and nephew Austin Fields
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Charles Catholic Church.
Services for Dennis will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 1 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
