Dorothy Mae May (nee Kerkhoff), 88, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2021, at Oak Park Place surrounded by her loving family.
She married Ralph May on May 7, 1955, at St. Alphonsus Church in New Munster. They were married more than 66 years and resided in Burlington with their sons, Tim, Larry and Roger May; as well as their daughter, Nancy Ziolecki.
Dorothy is further survived by her brother, Kenneth (Kay) Kerkhoff; sister, Carol Langley; and sister-in-law, Barb Kerkhoff.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Gertrude (nee Kresken) Kerkhoff; brother, James Kerkhoff; brother-in-law, Donald Langley; and son-in-law, James Ziolecki.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s life was held on June 21 at Integrity Celebrations Center.
Dorothy’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude and grateful hearts for all the love and care Oak Park Place and Kindred Hospice has shown to their mom, and continue to show to their dad and family.
