Evelyn A. Grote, 101, was raised to the Church triumphant on Oct. 25, 2021, at The Bickford Crystal Lake.
Evelyn was born in Waterford, to parents George and Anna (nee Johnson) Bucholtz. She married Lloyd Grote on Nov. 21, 1940. They raised their two children in South Milwaukee. Later they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where Lloyd passed on June 17, 1981. Evelyn then moved to Schaumburg, Ill. to be closer to family.
Evelyn is survived by her brother Roger (Barbara) Bucholtz; children Carol (Howard) Larson and Richard Grote; grandchildren Gretchen Grote, Erik (Lynn Rundhaugen) Larson and Kristin (Anthony) Zimmer; great-grandson Kyle Zimmer; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Morris (Lorraine) and Paul (Shirley) Bucholtz, and sister Lulu (Herbert) Karweik.
Inurnment will be at Norway Lutheran Church Cemetery, 6321 Heg Park, Wind Lake, on Nov. 10, 2021 at 11 a.m.
A special Thank You to the staff at The Bickford Crystal Lake for the tender loving care they gave to Evelyn in her final years.
