Joan B. Linneman, 80, of Burlington, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center, Burlington.
Joan was born in Burlington on Aug. 25, 1940. She was the daughter of Victor Miller. Her early life was spent in Honey Creek, where she graduated from Burlington High School. On June 24, 1961, at St. Mary Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Theodore Linneman. Following marriage, they made Rochester and the Waterford area their home. Theodore preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 2004.
Joan worked as an office assistant for Zarek Insurance and at Spiegelhoff’s Pick-N-Save. She volunteered at Evergreen School in the library. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, member of Holy Dusters, former member of Rochester Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary and volunteered at St. Thomas fish fries. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and Sudoku, walking her dog and tending to her flower garden. She also loved raising and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her children, Sue Heiligenthal, Deb (Joe) Forssander, Diane Linneman and Sherry (Randy) Jackson; grandchildren, Nikki (Jason) Cocilova, Lauren (Clint) Demuth, Jenny (Ron) Burton, Matt (Jenny) Forssander, Amanda Forssander, Sarah Forssander, Katie Joehnk, Stephanie (Dylan) Mohan, Kelly (Wade Barbour) Jackson and Randee Jackson; great-grandchildren, Elli, Costa, Levi and Allison; and brother, Dale (Carol) Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Roger Miller and son-in-law Chuck Heiligenthal.
The family would like to thank the Aurora at Home Hospice nurses and staff, along with her caregiver, Audrey Rowe-Hill, for their care and compassion during this time.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021.
