Michael E. Tomczak, 54, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.
Michael was born in Chicago on Oct. 29, 1966, to Frederick and Natalie Tomczak. His early life was spent in Burlington, where he graduated from Burlington High School. He was a life-long resident of Burlington and Pell Lake.
Michael worked as a carpenter and enjoyed snowmobiling and snow cross. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. His truly “Happy Place” was the north woods of Wisconsin.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Payton Tomczak; siblings, Edward (Candi) Tomczak and Fred Tomczak; nephews, Eddie (Meaghan) Tomczak, Brandon (Nicole) Tomczak and Austin Tomczak; nieces, Ashley (Adam) Kable and Courtney Meyerhofer; and seven great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to thank the Pell Lake Rescue Squad and Burlington Hospital ER, ICU and Medical Unit for their care and support during this time.
Services for Michael will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 7 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 4 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
