Nancy C. Hefty, 83, of Burlington, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at Froedert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
Nancy was born in northern Wisconsin on Aug. 22, 1937, to Ray and Margaret (nee Mitchell) Brunner. She was raised by her mother Margaret and step father Herman Wasmund. She was united in marriage to Peter Hefty Jr. Following marriage, they resided in Lyons. Peter preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1979. Nancy was a lifetime resident of the Burlington area.
Nancy was a home caregiver who enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing and gambling. She raised two granddaughters and a grandson and treasured the time she spent with all her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her children, Peter Hefty and Lissa (Brian Walbrandt) Noble; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great great-granddaughter; sisters, Sharon and Sue; and brothers, Mike, Rick (Kristi), Glen and Bill (Valerie). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sons, Steven and Timothy.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Burlington Memorial Hospital, along with the nurses, staff and Father Peter Clever at Froedert Hospital for their care and compassion during this time.
A graveside service will take place on Friday June 18, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Burlington Cemetery.
