Walter Thomas (Wally) Sarna, 93, passed away Nov. 3, 2021 in Kemah, Texas. He lived a long and happy life, residing most recently in Kemah, and also in Chicago and Burlington.
Wally is survived by his life partner Jose Aranda, his brother Thomas and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Anna; and his siblings John, Lillian, Charlotte (Stanley) Orlowicz, Josephine (Martin) Charvat, Stanley (Delores), Helen (George) Ondriska, Sophie, Andrew (Theresa), and Rosemarie (Walter) Brazuinas. Wally loved and was loved by everyone who knew him.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Church, 1429 W. Wellington Ave., Chicago, at 10 am on Thursday, Nov. 18. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 Archer Ave., Justice, Ill. at 12 p.m. Participants are advised to meet at the cemetery office before being directed to the crypt for prayers.
