Wayne J. Neal, 84, of Burlington, peacefully passed away Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021 at his home.
Wayne was born in Milwaukee on March 7, 1937, to James and Marie (nee Greguska) Neal. His early life was spent in Milwaukee and Brookfield. On April 26, 1958 in Milwaukee, he was united in marriage to Alicia Wojtkiewicz. Following marriage, they continued to make the Milwaukee area their home until moving to the Burlington and Rochester area 43 years ago.
Wayne worked as a melting supervisor for Grede Foundries. He was a member of St. Mary Church, volunteered as a Scout Master and Troop Master for Cub and Boy Scouts, and was a community and youth sports volunteer. He enjoyed farming, gardening, traveling, winters in Florida, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Alicia; children, Leslie (Danny) Brown, Mark (Kathleen) Neal and Chris Kurpiel; grandchildren, Melissa (Tim) Glass, Tim Brown, Katie Legas, Kieran Neal, Rebecca Neal, Sarah Neal, Glenn (Brooke) Kurpiel, Alexandra Kurpiel and Tyler Kurpiel; great-grandchildren, Liam Legas, Rowen Glass, and Olive Kurpiel; brother, Patrick (Evelyn) Neal; and sisters-in-law, Ceil Wojtkiewicz and Eleane Wokwicz. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rosemary Neal and brothers-in-law, Thomas Wojtkiewicz and Paul Wokwicz.

A Memorial Mass for Wayne will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Burlington.
