Carl J. Baumbach Jr., 72, of Burlington, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.
Carl was born in Merrill on Sept. 27, 1949, to Carl and Ethel (nee Grefe) Baumbach. His early life was spent in Gleason and Merrill.
Carl worked as a baker for JJ’s Bakery. He enjoyed flowers and gardening, especially cacti. He also enjoyed fishing, collecting country and Elvis records, and decorating for Christmas. He took pride in being a grill master and loved cooking outside.
Carl is survived by his sisters, Judy (Victor) Woyak, Jeanne (Marty) Jahnke, Joanne Shaw and Joyce Dopeke; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice.
The family would like to thank Carl’s neighbors, Aurora at Home Hospice and the nurses at Burlington Hospital, for their care and compassion during this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a kidney foundation of your choice or to the family.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
