Carol A. Grace, 80, of Bohners Lake, passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.
Carol was born in Chicago on Feb. 18, 1942, to William and Virginia (nee Thompson) Ptack. Her early life was spent Chicago, where she graduated from area schools. In 1959 in Chicago, she was united in marriage to Robert Grace. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2006. She has been a resident of Wisconsin since 1977.
Carol worked as a machine operator for Nestle and attended St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to rummage sales and thrift stores, collecting Precious Moments figurines, gardening and sewing. She also loved creating short stories and wrote songs. She invented a musical baby bottle, “The Christopher Nurser Baby Bottle”, of which she held a patent on. She especially loved caring for her family and grandkids and enjoyed her time with them.
Carol is survived by her children, Mike (Dawn) Grace, Pam (Vic Pace) Grace, and Tim (April Fischer) Grace; grandchildren, Christopher Grace, Michael (Elizabeth) Grace Jr., Amber (Jason) Ziebell, Daniel (Stephanie Vila) Dusing, Haylee (Dakota Hawkes) Glauner, Tyler Glauner and Crystal (Eric Enochs) Grace; great-grandchildren, Michael III, Jackson, Jamison, Adelyn, Rowan, Luella, Wilder, Cole, Michaela, Ryan, Alex and Jersey; siblings, Gloria (Mick) Bondi and Arthur Ptack; and sister-in-law, Susan Ptack. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bobbie Grace, sister Judith (Joe) Timko and brother Billy Ptack.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Burlington Hospital for their and care and compassion during this time.
