James L. Jones, 80, passed away on Dec. 31, 2021 at St. Catherines in Kenosha.
James was born March 18, 1941 to Don and Sophia (Belak) Jones in Springfield, Ill. He spent his early years in Wilmot. On Jan. 27, 1968, he was united in marriage to Kathleen D. Robinson in Wilmot. Following the marriage they resided in Wheatland. He was employed by International Harvester and Sta-Rite Industries. He was Vice President and a lifelong member of Buck Trail Archers. He was also an avid outdoorsman.
James is survived by his loving wife Kathleen; children, Mary (Brian) Koldeway, Laura (Dan) Drissel, and James (Jonell) Jones Jr.; grandchild Hunter Drissel; and sisters Carol (Robert) Stryjewskji and Debbie (Clayton) Hauser. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Salem Lakes Rescue, Wheatland Rescue, and the Staff at St. Catherine’s Hospital for their care and compassion. We would also like to thank Integrity Funeral Service for all their kind words and help during this difficult time.
There will be a celebration of James’s life at the Buck Trail Archery Club, 32622 Yahnke Rd., Burlington, on Saturday May 7, 2022, starting at noon.
