Janet L. Sanderson, 77, of Elkhorn, passed away Monday, Jan. 10, 2022 at Holton Manor in Elkhorn.
Janet was born in Burlington on Sept. 21, 1944, to Homer and Addie (nee Davis) Morgan. Her early life was spent in Burlington. She graduated from Wilmot High School and beautician school in Racine. On Sept. 4, 1965 she was united in marriage to Johnny Sanderson and following marriage, they made Burlington their home. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1967 in Vietnam.
Janet worked as a teacher’s aide for Wheatland Center School. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Gold Star Wives. She enjoyed growing vegetables, playing cards and games with friends.
Janet is survived by her sister, Judy Brockman; nephew, Kyle (Jen) Brockman; great-niece, Natalie Brockman; along with cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother-in-law Michael Brockman.

A memorial service to celebrate Janet’s life will take place Friday, March 4, 2022 at Noon at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Slades Corners. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends can visit with the family at Church on Friday March 4, 2022 from 11 a.m. until time of service at Noon.
