Michael Geisen, 59, of Iron River, Michigan and formerly of Burlington, passed away at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022.
Michael was born on Dec. 26, 1962 in Elgin, Illinois, to James and Delores “Peach” (nee Millay) Geisen.
Michael loved spending time with his family and playing with all the kids. He taught all of them board games and cards when they were young. He was a carpenter by trade and was always helping build, paint, and fix up houses. He enjoyed manual labor. As he got older, he wanted to get away from the city life and enjoyed his final years resting in Michigan, enjoying the scenery.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Christine (Rich) McArthur of Spring Grove, Illinois, and Mary Elizabeth (Brian) Musha of Milwaukee; brother, Andrew “John” (Sandy) Geisen of Augusta, Maine; special niece Destiny Poe, as well as many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention all by name.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Kurt Geisen, and sister, Kathy Poe.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to the charity of your choice.
