Neil R. Ahler, 46, of Burlington, passed away on March 11, 2022, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn.
Neil was born on June 16, 1975 to Robert “Bob” Ahler and Cindy Hoffman. He graduated from Burlington High School. He loved sports, playing for one year in high school and watching all kinds. He enjoyed spending time fishing. He was great with children and loved playing with his nieces and nephews.
Neil is survived by his parents, Bob (Edith) Ahler and Cindy Hoffman; brothers Adam (Kim) and Jon Paul Hoffman; sister Mandy (John) Ahler; step-brother Everett Colson; step-sister Jennifer Colson; and a large supporting family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, brother Eric, uncle Peter, and stepfather Paul Hoffman.
A celebration of Neil’s life will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Riverside Park, 517 Congress St., Burlington, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations are suggested to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Neil’s honor.
