Peter Allen “Pete” Weiss, 62, of Leander, Texas, and formerly of Burlington, passed away on June 25, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Pete was born in Elkhorn on May 13, 1960, to George and Joan Weiss. He grew up in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 1978. On July 12, 1980, he was united in marriage to Dawn Stone. They settled in the Bohner’s Lake area where they raised their family. After working for 42 years for Ardagh, Pete retired in 2020 and moved to Texas.
Pete enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Emma.
Pete is survived by his wife Dawn; daughter Holly (Micah) Perkins; son Shawn Weiss; granddaughter Emma Perkins; siblings, George (Diane) Weiss, Ron Weiss, Vicky (Ralph) Richmond, and Kimberly Condiff; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Chrissy Bronk.
