Richard P. Fry, 77, of Rochester, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.
Richard was born in Rockford, Illinois on Feb. 2, 1945, to Paul and Lucille (nee Lofgren) Fry. His early life was spent in Pecatonica, Illinois, where he graduated from Pecatonica High School. On April 25, 1969 in Rockford, he was united in marriage to Judy Stirts. Following marriage, they made Sun Prairie their home. They have been residents of the Burlington area since 1978.
Richard was an avid fisherman and loved Nascar, Dale Earnhardt, football and working on cars. He also loved spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Bill (Penny Yanke) Wald, Rebecca Wald, Todd (Jennie) Fry, Wendy (John) Fry-Bailey, Paulene (Evodio) Ynocencio, Miranda (Bill) Peterson and Lacie Fry; grandchildren, Gunnar, Alexandria, Casey, Brandon, Amber, Haley, Ethan, Devon, Paige, Jake, Jeremy, Jenna, Jayson, James, Josh, Bryce, Sabastian, Kristi and Logan; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Conor, Joshua, Noah, Cora, Hadley, Stella, Sage, Phoebe, Norah, Dane, Daphne, Broc, Cameron and Clay; and siblings, Bob (Veann) Fry, Linda (Neal) Dean, Pam (Randy) Olson and Debbie (Mike) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donal Fry, sister Karen (Jim) Finn and grandchildren, Jessica and Shaina.
Services for Richard will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 4:30 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
