Rick John Richmond, 66, of Milwaukee and formerly of Burlington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital in Menomonee Falls after a 15 month battle with cancer.
Rick was born in Burlington on April 16, 1955, to Kenneth Earl and Ruth Ann (nee Zehren) Richmond. He attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1973. He was active in Boy Scouts achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
After high school, Rick attended Gateway Technical College in Kenosha where he earned his Associate Degree in Accounting and his Pilot’s License. He moved to Milwaukee where he continued his education at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. After becoming a CPA, he worked for a number of accounting firms before starting his own firm.
Rick enjoyed his tennis leagues, playing cards, boating, waterskiing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Rick is survived by his mother, Ruth Richmond of Burlington; daughter Tiffany (Richard) Mamayek of Menomonee Falls; granddaughter Emerie Mamayek; siblings, Karen (Henry Otterness) Dubinsky, Kay Bydalek, Ralph (Vicky) Richmond and Randy (Mary) Richmond; aunts Marvelyn Forst and Suzanne Becker; many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Richmond.
Rick was a kind and caring individual who will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched.
Services for Rick will be held on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at Schaff Funeral Service, 5920 West Lincoln Ave., West Allis. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 1 p.m.
