Russell (Bud) James Schwartz, 75, passed away peacefully May 30, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Russ was born in Burlington on Aug. 6, 1946, to Beatrice (nee Haldeman) and Duane Hall. Most of his life was spent in the Burlington area, graduating from Burlington High School. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force and fought in Vietnam. On Aug. 30, 1986, he was united in marriage to Veronica Kammer, in Lyons. They made their home in Arlington Heights and Crystal Lake, Illinois, before permanently moving back to the Waterford area in 1998.
Russ was a loving husband, father and grandfather, an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing with his children and watching football.
Russ is survived by his wife Veronica; children, Sherry (Travis) Luedtke, Cindy (Joe) Behm, Kevin Schwartz and Kimberly Schwartz; grandchildren, Isabella Parrilli, Dalton Parrilli, Paige Behm and Lacey Behm; great grandson, Vinnie Parrilli; siblings, Wayne (Arlene) Zarnstorff, Mary Jane Brunet and Karlyn St. Clair; and brother-in-laws, John (Karen) Kammer, Mike (Fran) Kammer and Paul Kammer.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, mother in-law MaryAnn Kammer, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Visitation with the family will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral Home on June 3, 2022 from 10 a.m. until noon with Funeral services at noon. Burial will immediately follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Solon Mills, Illinois. Well-wishers may visit www.miller-reesman.com.
