Sharon A. Wolf, 85, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022 at Oak Park Place.
Sharon was born in Berlin on April 1, 1937, to Alfonso “Al” and Dorothy (nee Kavage) Grota. Her early life was spent in Oshkosh. She graduated from UW Oshkosh and later obtained her Master’s of Education from UW Whitewater. On Aug. 8, 1964, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Oshkosh, she was united in marriage to James Wolf. Following marriage, they resided in Oshkosh, Madison, Cary, Illinois and then Burlington since 1973. James preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2013.
Sharon worked as a first-grade schoolteacher for St. Charles Grade School. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington Wellness Center and the Burlington Women’s Club. She enjoyed scrapbooking, plants, gardening and feeding the birds. She also loved spending time in Door County and attending her grandchildren’s events.
Sharon is survived by her children, Susan (Tony) Bigelow of Sussex and Mary (Troy) Magnusen of Kodiak, Alaska; grandchildren, Allyson (T.J. Walther) Bigelow and Claire Bigelow; and a brother, James (Bernice) Grota. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services for Sharon will be held Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 at 6 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church. Burial will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
