William “Bill” E. Vodak, 64, of Lyons, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington.
Bill was born in Richland Center on Sept. 17, 1957, to Warren and Jeanne (nee Anderson) Vodak. His early life was spent in Richland Center, Shullsburg and Bloomington before moving to the Burlington area in 1983. He graduated from Shullsburg High School and attended UW Plattville. In 2005, he was united in marriage to Susan B. Streiff at Spring Prairie United Methodist Church. Following marriage, they made Lyons their home.
Bill worked as a subcontractor, laying tile for 20 years before working as a quality assurance technician for Echo Lake Foods for 16 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Creek and was a devoted Christian. He was a loving and caring husband, loved his family and was deeply loved by them.
Bill is survived by his wife, Susan; mother, Jeanne; siblings, Barbara M. Vodak, Ann E. Vodak, Mary (Steve) Larson, Richard (Alice) Vodak, Ellen (Mike) Minter and Caryle Vodak; brother-in-law, Gilbert (Francesca) Streiff; nieces and nephews, Tim (Molli) Vodak, Danielle (Jake Banks) Larson, Emelia Minter, Gilbert (Amy Sue) Streiff II, Kerry (Joe) Streiff, and Nathan (Amanda Addison) Streiff; and great-nephew, Winston Vodak. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Joseph Vodak and nephew Charlie Vodak.
The family would like to thank their neighbor Paula for all her help and assistance shown to them during this time, along with the members of First Baptist Church of Oak Creek and Emmanel Baptist Church in Burlington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
Services for Bill will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Oak Creek, 10550 South Howell Ave., Oak Creek. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 1 until 3 p.m. at the church.
