Bernie is survived by his wife Marlene; daughters Denise (David) Konkol, Pamela (Harold) Bailey, and Cathryn Erspamer; ten grandchildren; three great granddaughters, his sister Nancy Miska, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and sisters, Helen, Margie, Iris, Ann, and Francis.
A private celebration of life will be held for his family and friends with a burial at the Hurley Cemetery where his military stone will be placed alongside his father’s.
There was nothing Bernie could not repair, nor was there any job too big for him to tackle. He loved tinkering in the garage, hunting, fishing, gardening, feeding the wildlife, and telling stories. Some of our fondest memories are the jokes and silliness he shared with all of us.
