Betty J. Voss, 93, of Burlington, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2023 at Oak Park Place in Burlington.
Betty was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on June 18, 1929, to Hugh and Artle (nee Lewis) Bradford. On March 31, 1949 in Burlington, she was united in marriage to Frank Voss. Following marriage, they made Burlington their home. She was a Burlington resident for 80 years. Frank preceded her in death on July 22, 2013.
Betty was a homemaker and occasionally attended Burlington United Methodist Church. She loved playing bingo, cards, doing scratch-off lottery tickets, arts and crafts, talking to her sisters and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Betty is survived by her children, Linda (Glen) Voss-Jones and Jeff Voss; Son-in-law Tom Stang; grandchildren, Leslie Jones-Arroyo, Andrea Jones, Logan Stang, Jake Voss and Casey Voss; great-grandchildren, Quinn Arroyo and Ava Arroyo; her sister, Vicky Springborn and her grand-dog Odie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Susan Stang and siblings, Hugh, Dorothy, Nancy, Jane, Barbara, Jenny, Linda, Lucille and George.
The family would like to thank Oak Park Place the caregivers of the second floor, especially Renee, along with Aurora at Home Hospice nurses and staff, especially Molly and Sandy, for all the loving care she received.
Services for Betty will be held Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Burlington Cemetery following the service.
