Donna L. Knurr, 86, of Waterford, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on April 19, 2023.
Donna was born in Waukesha on July 3, 1936, to the late Kenneth and Helen (nee Olson) Madison. She spent her early life in Vernon where she attended Vernon Elementary and graduated Mukwonago High School. After graduation Donna worked for GE/Sunbeam. On June 2, 1956, she married Raymond G. Knurr at Vernon Evangelical Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Big Bend for a few years while Raymond began construction of their new home in Waterford, to which they moved in 1960. Donna also worked for Edstrom Industries in Waterford for twenty plus years. She was a proud member of Norway Lutheran Church, spending time with the Quilters and volunteering in the Alter Guild. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her most cherished time was spent with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donna is survived by children, Duane (Mary) Knurr, Randy (Holly) Knurr, LeAnn (Dan) Strasser, Steve (Pam) Knurr and Lisa (Bill) Mutter; grandchildren, Gina (Kevin) Kuchar, Hanna (Keith) Christensen, Keith (Jacqueline) Knurr, Valerie Knurr, Kristin Strasser, Erica (Nathan) Chart, Nick Strasser, Brett Strasser, Jasmine Knurr, Sandra Knurr, Jackie Knurr, Jacob (Karley) Mutter, and Jenna (David Garcia) Mutter; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings Allen (Susan) Madison, Gary (Donna) Madison, and Joyce (John) Cesar; sister-in-law Shirley Madison; brother-in-law Skip Jacobs; other relatives, and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, grandson Craig, sister Judith, and brother Daniel.
Visitation and services were held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Norway Lutheran Church. Burial followed in Norway Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy memorials are suggested to Norway Lutheran Church.
