Elizabeth “Betty” Mary Spiegelhoff, 85, of Rhinelander, passed away on Sept. 10, 2023. Betty was born on June 1, 1938, to George and Regina “Tilly” (nee Schoenberg) Brehm in Burlington. Betty married the love of her life, Delmont “Monty” Spiegelhoff on Oct. 4, 1958. Together, they had four children, Kevin, Michele, Jess and Brigite.
Betty was a homemaker and loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, volunteering at the Catholic Church. She especially loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Delmont S. Spiegelhoff; brother-in-law Keith (Carol) Spiegelhoff of Peoria, Arizona; sister-in-law Lynn Sebo of Glendale, Arizona; sons, Kevin (Karen) Spiegelhoff of Tonawanda, New York and Jess (Holly) Spiegelhoff of Rhinelander; daughters, Michele (Bill) Parks of Perdido Key, Florida and Brigite (Ken) Kulhanek of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren, Bill, Kelly, Tyler, Megan, Dylan, Ryan and Elle; great grandchildren, Brayden, Olivia, Ashlyn and Riley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, George and Regina Brehm; brothers Robert “Bob” Brehm, William “Willy” Brehm; and sister Judith “Judy” Brehm.
The visitation for Betty will take place on Friday, Sept. 15, 2023, at St. John Catholic Church, 750 Appleton Street, Pelican Lake, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
Inurnment will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at the Monico Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Monico.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry.
