James J. Sibilski, passed away peacefully, at the age of 82, at Ridge Stone Gardens on May 1, 2023.
We are saying goodbye to a man who was happy living a simple, uncomplicated life. His priority in life was to care for and love his family, first and foremost. He was a kind and gentle man who had respect for everyone and taught his children to do the same.
On Sept. 28 1963, Jim married the love of his life, Kathleen “Kathy”. They shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. They enjoyed the outdoors and nature with the whole family.
Jim was always humble about his talents. He painted, he drew, and he carved. His creativity will live on through his children and grandchildren.
Jim retired from Reiman Publications, where he had formed wonderful relationships with co-workers. His “Reiman girls” saw him as a father figure, and he took great pride in that.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Kathy and their three children, Joseph (Kathleen) Sibilski, John (Stacey) Sibilski and Katherine (Clinton) Brumley; his sister Patricia Stawicki; brother-in-law Jeff Becker; and eight grandchildren, Jack, Alyse, Emily, Mary, Abigail, Andrea, Charles, and Mollie. He will also be deeply missed by his nephews, cousins and extended family members, and friends.
An open house memorial celebration of Jim’s life will be held on May 13, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Integrity Celebration Center, 2789 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington.
The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at The Gardens at Ridgestone Memory Care in Elkhorn. They partnered with James in all of his challenges with love and grace. Any monetary donations will be directed to Ridgestone in his memory.
