John Michael Cox, 70, of Burlington, passed away in his home Jan. 18, 2023.
John was born Aug. 2, 1952 and lived with his parents Ruth (nee Brown) and Logan Cox Jr. until he graduated from High School and then served his country in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne.
John is survived by his children, Shelly, John (Stanya), Liz (Mike) and Mandy (Quentin); grandchildren, Anthony, Emma, Raleigh, Lily, Logan, Easton, Tanner and Hawkin; sister Cynthia (Harold); brother Ike (Debra); several nieces, nephews, cousins and two dogs, Sassy and Diamond.
Memorial services are being held Friday, Feb. 24, 2023 at the Enlightened Living Center, 125 E State Street, Burlington, from 5 to 8 p.m. with Prayer at 7 p.m. by Pastor Charles. Friends are welcome.
Services with Military Honors were held on Feb. 11, 2023 at a Cemetery that overlooks the place John grew up. He had been asked to be buried with his two dogs who passed before him, Tucker and Bell.
